Membership Information

Once you have visited our club as a guest and decided that you'd like to become a member, the steps to take are as follows.
The only requirement is that you are over 18 years of age.
1. Find an Officer
During a meeting interval or after a meeting let one of our members know you are keen to join. They will direct you to a club officer. If its outside meeting time, send an email to

2. Complete Forms
Express you interest to join to the club officer and after recieving a few pats on the back you will be asked to complete a new membership form.
3. $Costs$
Your new membership fee will range from $35 to $65, depending on what month you join. This fee includes toastmasters manuals which help you improve as a communicator at our club. Depending on your individual circumstance, some or all of the fees may be tax deductible.

All members of our club pay membership fees semi-annually in April and October. This payment is approximately $40 depending on the USD/AUD exchange rate. This money goes to toastmasters international (a non-profit organisation) and is charged to our club in US dollars. The fee basically covers the cost of running a large international learning organisation. You also get a quarterly magazine sent your home address .
Young Achievers Toastmasters members also pay $2 per meeting attended. This covers the cost of running the club and providing snacks prior to the meeting.
4. Begin Your Membership
Once the executive have lodged your new membership forms and payment, you will be sent a "Communication and Leadership" manual from toastsmasters international in the US. The manual will provide you with a lot of information about improving your communication skills and will also allow you to start preparing speeches to give at our club.
